Rules the neck, throat, mouth and jaw, communication, sound, rhythm, writing, public speaking and connecting. Its color is blue and its element is related to the sound. The vowel sounds include the spiritual energy, while the consonants form the spirit in the material world. Communication is a link capable to describe the same in the spirit than in matter. Its principle is vibration and sound. 

Its task is to adjust one's vibration energies to achieve a clearer expression of ourselves, a better communication with others and a general harmony with the environment.

This was the function of the original peoples of North America, energy inherited by the Saxons European colonizers, who ruled this labor on the world for over 400 years Communication is a rhythmic activity. 


The better you get into resonance with our own internal rhythms, more easily you will raise up the others resonance, and it provides to communication clarity and profoundness. By harmonious communication we raise both the spirit and the message contents, and we can transcend physical limitations of time and space. 


United States of North America governs the bigger part of this chakra, and its function has been to bring this resonance, this union, through the words and the innovation. However, the story of those who have inherited this energy has led this task to an occultism and controller way through verb and technology.

At the 5th chakra level we start working with the symbolic world. Through the words we represent the physical world while they allow us to overcome its own limitations. 


Singing is a way to harmonize our vibrations through the deliberate use of sound and can be used as an activity to enhance resonance and communication. This chakra relates to creativity, because creativity is a form of communication. 


When we work with this chakra we should allow us to enter into a childhood state of creativity to play with our voice, to write, paint, dance, laugh or other expressions.

A deficit of energy in the throat chakra causes a difficult communication, hoarseness, stiff shoulders, voices without rhythm or resonation, inability of expression, stiff neck, blocked

creativity, lack of adequate functioning, disability decision or self-esteem and will, due to trauma or family patterns in childhood, or in history.

Just on Mexico shoulders lies a huge weight due to this deficit. Mexico shares the throat chakra in one of the toughest states, Chihuahua with the state of New Mexico in the U.S. The United States presently has all the symptoms of this energy deficit, because the vitality of the planetary serpent of light has already left for a position in South America.

Too much energy in this chakra causes chatter, poor body resonance, and shouting. To release this excess of energy the best technique is to make powerful sounds and take the stress out by shouting, instead of talking to anyone else that way. Once relaxed and free of tension the opening and the normal functioning of the 5th chakra will be easier.

The retention and stress generated in these countries and territories because of its message and control system through communication is the same that causes these symptoms in their societies. 


The opening of this chakra demands a body cleansing: the daily exercise of vocal intonation, paying attention to our vital rhythms and our patterns of communication. The result is a more efficient communication, deeper states of consciousness, enhanced creativity defined as a capacity for original expression.
